Damon Curtis Nathan, founder of Vanessa Filmworks, is a native of Detroit, MI and senior at Wayne State University. Enrolled in the College of Communications and Fine Arts, he’s a media arts/production major who plans to further his film career as a graduate student and obtain an MFA degree. Starting as a street DJ, Damon went on to work at numerous radio stations including becoming overnight air talent on WGPR 107.5FM, a popular Detroit jazz station. From there, he became working at numerous television stations in the area including being Master Control Supervisor at WADL TV-38 / The Word Network. With his attention now on films, Damon’s agenda is to make Vanessa Filmworks an avenue for the unspoken voice.
